you are my childhood superman!

wonderful friday!
met him around 7, drove us to simpang bedok for dinner with his squadmates. they're a bunch of fun people! they crapped and joked around with baby like they've known each other for ages :) ate lots there, fish&chips, meegoreng, roti john and milo. goodness, no wonder i never seem to slim down. :D

anyway today was also mrstan's last econs tutorial with us, and she's resigning already. actually, i think she has done more than she should, and being a teacher, she definitely put in much more effort than the other lecturers.

tell me, which teacher would risk being labelled by students as "terror", by randomly calling out students to present their answers in front of the whole cohort, or threatening to deduct participation marks when we are late? and which teacher would gladly handwrite notes for us even though we already have a set of lecture notes, just to ensure that we all know the topic better? and which teacher would be so responsible as to check every student's work, and take it seriously when we didnt do our work, or when we are late for class? yes, other lecturers DO scold us for not doing our work, but mrstan's serious about it. she made 2 hours of tutorial pass very fast, and i always feel so much enlightened after her tutorial.
thats why no matter how much i hate tutorials, i never, never, never skip econs. i used to thought econs was easy peasy. in jc i never fail to pass econs, at least with a C. but i realised i was missing out on so much, only when i came to poly and attended her lessons.

those steps she taught, were never mentioned or taken note in jc.
now that i think of it, all the other lecturers really really pale in comparison to her. we've learnt so much about her in these few months. although she loves to digress, her stories are always entertaining and the short few minutes are considered a relaxation, and takes my mind off econs for a short while.
it was sad to see her leave, but i know she had done more than she should, and benefited a lot of students in her teaching stint here at SP. we bought her a cake today to mark the last tutorial we've with her.

The chocolate cake (:

MrsTan: how am i going to cut this cake?
