i talked to desiree on msn just now.
she always set me thinking.
desiree: oei, do you dress safe?
joy: wtf you talking?
desiree: pls be polite honey.
joy: wtf?
desiree: i mean, do you wear what others wear?
joy: me no understand. elaborate.
desiree: like mass produced stuffs.
joy: why you ask sia. you no like me dressing?
desiree: curious only. you see, so many people sell things that look similiar, at high prices even. but people just love snapping them up even though they are conscious of the fact that everyone's wearing it.
joy: yah. then do you dress safe?
desiree: i dont dare to dress safe.
joy: huh. elaborate
desiree: like i see stuffs that people dont usually buy, like those with huge weird prints or those that dont look mass produced, and i buy 'em. sadly, ken always say i look fugly in them just because i was the first one to wear it.
joy: uh huh. lucky nengtian doesnt always comment on me dressing though he sometimes do.
desiree: mm yup. i neednt wear factory produced stuffs to look nice rite?
joy: yup, you end up shopping at high end boutiques where obviously you cant afford to have mass produced stuffs retailing.
desiree: so true. you always say you're pretty. so do you dress safe.
joy: uh. i don't know. i think so?

but, you have to dress safe to look nice and into the crowd right?
people will give you stares if you dress out-of-the-norm and that equals not pretty.
